ABOUT STATEN ISLAND

Staten Island is the southernmost borough of New York City, connecting to Brooklyn with the Verrazano Bridge. The island is also connected to New Jersey, with easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike. Direct access to Manhattan is achieved via the Staten Island Ferry. Staten Island has a distinctly suburban atmosphere compared to the rest of New York City and is home to an abundance of medical practices, such as Richmond University Medical Center and Staten Island University Hospital Northwell Health. The area has benefitted from the continued growth of e-commerce and expansion of ‘last-mile’ distribution hubs. IKEA and Amazon both have a sizable presence here as a result.
