A Unique Opportunity to Become a New York State EMT!

Due to an unprecedented demand in Emergency Medical Services personnel, SeniorCare Emergency Medical Services, in partnership with Center for Allied Health Education (CAHE), is sponsoring an EMT-Basic Program!  The course is offered to anyone who is at least 18 years of age, has a high school diploma/GED, and a valid driver’s license.

The course begins on February 27, 2023 (orientation)

Program Schedule

This is a full-time program. Classes and labs are scheduled as follows:

  • Lectures (Remote/Online): Sundays (subject to being scheduled 9am – 5pm).
  • Labs (On-campus): Mondays & Thursdays (subject to being scheduled 9am – 5pm) or Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (subject to being scheduled 6pm  – 10pm) at 1401 Kings Highway, Brooklyn, NY.
  • Mandatory Orientation session is on February 27. Students are required to attend the Orientation in person.

Tuition & Fees

The program is entirely sponsored by SeniorCare EMS. Students save over $2,200 (all-inclusive regular cost of the EMT-Basic Program)*.

Students who have successfully completed the entire course of study will be eligible for graduation and the subsequent:

  • National Registry Skill Exam
  • NYS DOH EMS Written Exam
  • Application to the National Registry Computerized Exam

This program prepares students to sit for the NYS EMT-Basic examination, which is required to begin work in New York.

*Tuition is fully sponsored by SeniorCare upon signing the contract. Fees are paid up front by the student and will be reimbursed upon successful Program completion by the sponsoring agency. Fees include textbook, clinical clearance, CPR certification. Sponsorship based on meeting certain terms and conditions, provided by the sponsoring agency. Conditions include but are not limited to committing to a minimum of 2000 hours as an employee to SeniorCare upon successful completion of the program and passing the New York State EMT-Basic Certification exam. Admission Process

  • Applicants are invited to complete an online application at cahe.edu/apply
  • No entrance exam or interview required
  • Submit the following documents:
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Official Transcript from High School
    • One Letter of Recommendation. The recommendation letter can come from anyone and does not have to be from a healthcare professional
    • A short essay (250-500 words) explaining what interests you in the field of EMS
